This page displays colors from various "Official Pallettes". Colors are in order from darkest to lightest. Hopefully, you will be able to find the exact color that you are looking for. Only the Official Website color names can be used in HTML and CSS, otherwise use the #xxxxxx value.
There are over Colors here. That might be too many colors to choose between or too much overwhelm. If that’s the case, select a Palette, Color, and/or Category .(Each selection will be combined with the others - Color and Category, etc.) Then click on the Filter / Funnel to reduce the number of colors shown.

This is not an attempt to show every possible color from every possible Pallette, just the main ones that I am aware of. Many Pallettes contain about 12 primary colors and then at least 10 shades of each color. Still, if you have a suggestion for this page, click the "Back to Computer Consulting" link at the top of this page and contact me.

Major Palettes:
Offical HTML Colors Official Colors by Shade
AS – Australian Standard
BS – British / UK Standard. British Colour Stands include BS381 and BS4800. BS381 shown are the most popular of those colours. I have left out the common colour names that occur more than once for BS4800 – Black, White, Grey, Red, Yellow, Orange, Brown, Blue, Green, Purple, Beige, Pink, Violet
AMS-STD-595 – USA Federal Standard. Only showing colors that have simple or dark / medium / light names. Those are in the Federal Standard way too many times to show here.
Crayola – Crayola Crayons – All Crayola Colors
W3Schools has multiple Palettes. I’m showing their Main Palette Palette based on Material Design by Google and their Palette for Food here.
Bootstrap CSS framework Background Colors
MSWord – Color Names in VBA (MS Word Developer Code) are preceded by wdColor
Tailwind – Color Names start with bg- and end with -500
VermillionGreen my Palettes:
VG Eco - Energy Saving Colors
VG Food
VG Violet-Brunettes from my Children’s Series Of Violette and Brunettes.
Material Designs – Looks like level 500 is very similar to W3Schools.
Adobe Spectrum – I did not include any of those colors here.
RAL – Major European Standard: Not shown here because the color codes are copyrighted.
Color.JS – Shows colors from various Pallettes. Click on color name to see various shades of that color. Pallettes include: Open Color; Open Props; Tailwind CSS; Tailwind CSS v4; Material Design; Adobe Spectrum; GitHub Primer; IBM Carbon; Pico; Web Awesome
