The Road to Connectionburg

Discover and explore your own Deep Environment. At the deepest place in your inner environment, you’ll find your Deepest Connection. You can go as far as your want to go. You can choose to stop or pause at any point along the way.

Going deep into your heart, deep into your soul is not hard. At first you’ll discover the land of Pleasantasia. Everything there is very pleasant and nice.
From there, you can go deeper to the land of Worriesville. When you start looking under all the nice things in Pleasantasia, you’ll find some things that aren’t so pleasant as they first seemed. Things that will cause you to want to flee back to Pleasantasia or to never go deep again. Why would anybody want to go to Worriesville, why not just stay in Pleasantasia. Because in Pleasantasia things are only pleasant, they are not deeply fulfilling. And in order to get to what is deeply fulfilling, you’ve got to go through Worriesville.
I tried to avoid or skirt Worriesville (or The Ring of Fire as Martha Beck calls it), but it was not to be. Don&';t worry. Having gone through Pleasantasia helps lessen your suffering in Worriesville. It helps take the edge off of your experience there.
So, you get to Worriesville, and the first thing you try to do is fix everything there so it won’t worry you any more or as much. While some things there can use healing, after a point you learn that there are just too many things to fix, so you learn to turn off the switch that gives them power and go deeper into Possibilitown.

Now let me tell you, Possibilitown is a whole lot of fun. Some people spend a lot of time here. Everything is possible here. But there’s one wee problem. Some part of you keeps nagging that you don’t belong here. Things are great, but something’s off kilter (just not right).
The longer you stay in Possibilitown, the more that part of you nags. Until finally, you just can’t stand it any longer. At this point you might say, “I’m through with going deep. It just ain’t worth it.” (Ah, but I assure you, it is.) You sure as heck don’t want to go back to Worriesville. Some try though, thinking they’ll let a few more things there get healed (which ain’t a bad thing to do) and then, they think, they’ll be able to return to Possibilitown without that nagging feeling.
You guessed it. For those who choose that route, the nagging feeling is even stronger. Your other choice, besides returning to Worriesville, is to go even deeper; deeper to Torn City.

Getting to Torn City at this point is not hard. I’m pretty certain it was that nagging feeling that pushed me over the cliff, down into the abyss of Torn City. In Torn City, you face your worst nightmare. One you haven’t even got a clue about before your arrive. It’s been there most of your life, but you’ve learned to tell yourself it doesn’t exist. And so, it didn’t as far as you were aware. But it’s been a very subtle guiding force in your life ever since.
The great thing about Torn City is that your time there is usually very short. In Torn City, you feel like everything is being torn away from you. I find that even though you’re desperate to cling onto everything and everyone, you really don’t want too many people around while you’re in this stage. So, find a place where you can spend some time in solitude, away from everything. This will make the time pass more easily.
Oh, yeah, This is great! Going deep brouth me to Torn City, and I’m going to die in this hell!

Let me tell you the secret about Torn City. It’s only a point on your road into your deepest environment – Connectionburg. And, once your get to Torn City, you’re almost at the end of your road. Getting from Torn City to Connectionburg is like making a vacuum or hermetic seal – like sealing a canning jar.
You’re trying to seal a canning jar but there’s all these crumbs stuck to the rim. In order to seal the jar (make the final connection) every last crumb has to be removed. But these are crumbs you’ve clung to, very tightly, for most of your life. And, letting go of them can be very painful.
The least painful way to remove them is by going deep into Torn City and staying there, staying deep. Knowing that there’s something deeper. As you do this, the light starts to shine into your heart. As it does, it wipes away the crumbs. When the last little speck of a crumb has been dissolved by the light; the seal is made and you’re in Connectionburg.
Once in Connectionburg you can stay there forever. Everything’s not perfect. You’re still human. You still have off days. But, you’re connected! And if you ever feel unconnected, you can immediately go deep and return to Connectionburg (without all the aforementioned stops or at least with less time at each one).
Since you’re connected, you’ll want to spend lots of time exploring that connection.

How long will it take you to get to Connectionburg? I can’t say. All I know is that everybody is on a different schedule, and everybody arrives at Connectionburg in their perfect timing.
