Janowitz and Harowolski (not their real names) are approaching the Earth for the first time. Eons ago, their ancestors left the Earth, heading for another galaxy. Now, these two pilots have been sent by the Government to find out what&';s happening on Earth. As they approach, they send out a Signal &n-; Calling Point Nemo. Point Nemo is the point in the Ocean that is furthest from land. It&';s also one of the places that old spaceships go to die. But Janowitz and Harowolski don&';t know that. All they know is that nobody is answering their call.
Where-Anon has been in a military prison for so long that he&';s forgotten his name. So, he goes by Where-Anon. Some people are put in prison for what they did. Where-Anon is there for what he&';s capable of doing. He can control a computer with his mind. The guards keep all computers far from him, but not far enough. One day, Where-Anon intercepts this transmission from Janowitz and Harowolski. Of course he can&';t understand it. Yet he is able to figure out where it&';s coming from. And, he gets some of the jist of the conversation. Grumbling sounds the same in any language. Where-Anon has to find a Linguist so that he can understand the message. Then he finds a mythologist to help him understand why it sounds like these pilots are returning, when this is the first contact.
Where-Anon finds an engineer to help him. This guy claims he&';s a Cyborg.
You&';ll enjoy the humor as Where-Anon&';s team brings these Extra-Terrestials humanoids home. You&';ll learn some mythology about long lost peoples. And, you&';ll get some answers to some science questions that are nagging at the back of your mind. These include &n-; Why is Pluto not a planet? And, What do you get when you cross a microscopic, indestructible animal (a tardigrade) with human DNA?. Note: these answers may not be totally based in science.
